1. Ethical Standards

1.1. Authorship and Contribution

Authors must ensure that their submitted manuscripts represent their original work and adhere to ethical standards in research and publication. All authors should have made significant contributions to the research and writing process. Any individual who has made a substantial contribution to the work should be listed as an author, while those who have not should be acknowledged in the manuscript.

1.2. Plagiarism and Copyright

Plagiarism in any form is considered unethical and is not tolerated by the journal. Articles are systematically examined using Compilatio software. Authors should ensure that their work does not contain verbatim or paraphrased content from other sources without appropriate citation and permission. Copyright permissions should be obtained for any copyrighted material used in the manuscript.

1.3. Data and Results Reporting

Authors are responsible for accurately reporting their research findings, methods, and results. Manipulation or fabrication of data is considered unethical and will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript. Authors should disclose any conflicts of interest that may have influenced the research or interpretation of results.

1.4. Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional conflicts of interest that could influence the publication process. Conflicts of interest will be managed transparently and may result in disqualification from the review process.

2. Reviewer and Editor Responsibilities

2.1. Peer Review Process

Reviewers and editors must evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and in a timely manner. A submission outside the scope of the journal or going against its editorial policy can be rejected by the editorial board without resorting to the peer review process.

Every submission validated by the editorial board is reviewed anonymously (double-blind peer review) by one or two external referees who are experts in the field.

After the editorial board and the direction have made their decision on the basis of the reviewers’ reports, a manuscript can be accepted, accepted with minor or major changes required, or rejected.

If the manuscript has been accepted with changes required, the editorial board and the direction make a definitive decision depending on how the reviewers’ suggestions or comments were considered by the author. If the manuscript has been rejected, a written reasoned opinion is sent to the authors.

2.2. Confidentiality

Reviewers and editors must respect the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and not use or disclose unpublished information for personal gain or research purposes. They have to declare any conflicts of interest that may affect their impartiality.

2.3. Publication Decisions

Editors are responsible for making final publication decisions based on the scientific quality, originality, and relevance of the manuscript. Decisions should not be influenced by personal or external factors.

3. Journal’s Responsibilities

3.1. Transparency

The journal is committed to transparency and will provide clear guidelines and policies for authors, reviewers, and editors. Any changes to these policies will be communicated promptly.

3.2. Correction and Retraction

The journal will take appropriate action in cases of errors, misconduct, or ethical violations, including issuing corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern as necessary.

3.3. Accessibility

There is no fee for submission and publication. All contents published in this journal are freely accessible online on OpenEdition Journals. Authors retain full rights to their published articles, and can deposit them to a platform of their choosing.

3.4. Periodicity

This journal is usually published twice a year.

4. Reporting Ethical Concerns

5. Conclusion

This Ethics and Malpractice Statement is subject to periodic review and may be updated to reflect evolving ethical standards and best practices in the field.
