Evaluation procedure
Plan
Haut de pageThe editorial and scientific direction is made up of the Editors of the journal and of the Varia and Book Review sections. It provides the link between the coordinators of the thematic issue, the authors and the experts. All the articles in the thematic issue and the Varia section are submit to double-blind double expertise.
Evaluation of thematic issues
The coordination of the thematic issue is ensured by at least one member from outside the Univ. Grenoble Alpes. The Advisory Editorial Board (AEB) validates (i) the call for papers (CFP) proposed by the coordinators then (ii) the proposals for articles received by the coordinators and selected by them after the distribution of the CFP. Then, the expertise of each article is ensured by an expert chosen for his/her scientific competence in the field, outside the AEB and the Selected Peer-Reviewers (SPR). The coordinators of each thematic issue provide a list of experts of the field to be contacted. The second expertise is entrusted to a member of the SPR. The Editors are entirely responsible for organising the evaluation process: choosing the experts according to the procedures specified above, receiving the expertise reports, deciding whether or not to publish on the basis of these reports, and communicating acceptance or rejection to the coordination of the thematic issue.
Evaluation of varia articles
The manager of the Varia section ensures, with the help of the editorial committee, an initial evaluation of the article submitted to him or her and requests possible modifications before sending it for double-blind expertise. At least one of two experts is chosen from outside the journal’s editorial and reading committees. The second expertise can be carried out by a member of the journal’s reading committee. The manager of the Varia section takes full responsibility for organising the expertise process: choosing experts according to the procedures specified above, receiving expertise reports, deciding whether or not to publish on the basis of these reports, and notifying authors of acceptance or rejection.
Evaluation of “Notes de lecture”
The Book Review Editors liaise with the authors of the “Notes de lecture” by providing them with specific editorial instructions and ensure that these are respected.
