About the CRMH

The Cahiers de Recherches Médiévales et Humanistes | Journal of Medieval and Humanistic Studies publishes articles dealing with topics from any period of the Middle Ages as well as the Renaissance. It is equally receptive to articles adopting a transhistorical outlook on the way in which both periods have been interpreted from the 16th c. to the present day. The journal is interdisciplinary, and contributions  adopting methodological approaches from any field of research such as history, literature, history of sciences, law and religion, etc. are welcome.

The official working languages of the CRMH are French and English. However, depending on the subject matter, articles written in Italian, Spanish, Portuguese or German may also be considered for publication. The CRMH publishes two issues per year, each comprising up to 400 pages. Each issue focuses on a main theme, accompanied by one or two shorter themed sections of three to four articles, as well as papers dealing with other, miscellaneous themes that are included under the “Varia” section. Full book reviews are disseminated in electronic form only on the website of the journal.

Papers submitted for consideration will be reviewed by two scholars who are specialists in their field, and will be published only with the agreement of the Journal Advisory Board and Editorial Board.
