Functioning and role of the Reading Committee
The Reading Committee is made up of the members of the Editorial Committee, minus the Director and Editorial Director of CNRS Éditions.
New members are accepted by the Committee after spontaneous application or proposal by one or more members of the Committee. To date, the Reading Committee has seventeen members, ten of whom are French and seven foreign.
Articles submitted to the journal must be sent before the end of the month of November preceding the year of publication of the volume. The editor-in-chief sends them to two rapporteurs who are familiar with the subject within the Reading Committee. If there are none, one or two external rapporteurs may be solicited and will be accompanied by an internal rapporteur. The articles are also sent to all members of the Reading Committee, as well as all reports, so that they can be discussed at the annual meeting. The Committee meets in February and decides whether to accept (with or without modifications) or reject the submitted articles.
