Founded in 1988 and published by Presses Sorbonne Nouvelle, Théorème is a biannual French-language journal devoted to cinema, audiovisual and all image and sound media. Within an approach combining a plurality of methods and theoretical frameworks, the journal Théorème aims to bring together the rigour inherent in the academic approach and the ability to contribute to contemporary debates. The journal joins OpenEdition Journals with its last three issues in open access.
